Mr. Danny Ray Thorpe, 69, of Brandon, formerly of Grenada, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was born August 15, 1948 in Grenada to Jesse and Bobby Fay Lance Thorpe. He had worked for many years as a consultant for Affiliated Computer Services. Danny was a former National Guard member, an avid sports fan and a Baptist.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Callum (Martin) of Hernando; one son, Todd Thorpe (Amy) of Spring Hill, TN; one sister, Debbie Breland (Charlie) of Grenada; and five grandchildren, Anna Claire Callum, Avery Thorpe, Caden Callum, Mallory Thorpe and Cole Callum.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Michael Thorpe.
