Mr. Danny Lee Turner, 69, of Coffeeville, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley.  He was born November 23, 1952 in Yalobusha County to Junior Augustus "Gus" and Bessie Ruth Marshall Turner.  Danny worked alongside his family in the logging business for many years and later worked for the Yalobusha County Beat 5 Road Crew.  A faithful Christian, Danny was a member of the Coffeeville Church of Christ.  Danny was blessed with the gift of being mechanically inclined and was always up to the challenge when it came to fixing small engines and various other equipment.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Coffeeville Church of Christ with Bro. Don Roberson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Coffeeville.  Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the Coffeeville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Jean Turner of Coffeeville; three sisters, Anna Allen(Johnny) of Coffeeville, Paula Brown(James) of Southaven and Marsha Byford of Coffeeville; two brothers, Les Turner(Barbara) of Coffeeville and Clint Turner(Claudine) of Sardis; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Larry, Johnny and Jason Turner.

Bill Byford, Dewayne Byford, Mike Byford, Randall Byford, John Turner and Kevin Turner will honor Danny by serving as pallbearers and carrying him to rest in the Calvary Cemetery.  Jimmy Marshall, Jim Peters, Guy Phillips, Ricky Phillips, Wayne Turner and Jim Warren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
