Mrs. Darcy Norine Scott Atwell, 81, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at her residence.  She was born May 5, 1941 in Memphis, TN to Oliver and Lois Whitehead Scott.  Darcy retired after a long career with AAA Cooper Transportation and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  Darcy enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Tim McCaffrey officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday at the church.  The committal service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Lincecum Baptist Church Cemetery near Georgetown, LA.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, George Atwell; sons, Johnny Payne of Horn Lake, David Atwell(Paula) of Monticello, AR, Michael Atwell(Angela) of Sterlington, LA and Jerry Atwell(Lexie) of Monroe, LA; one sister, Bernice Clements of Red Banks, MS; four brothers, Ernest Scott of Horn Lake, Wayne Scott(Betty) of Walls, James Scott(Joyce) of Lake Cormorant and Ronnie Scott(Pam) of Lake Cormorant; sister-in-laws, Leigh McCaw and Barbara Womack; brother-in-law, Willis Atwell; ten grandchildren, Justin Payne, Danielle Cummins, Rachelle Payne, Caroline Atwell, Anna Beth Atwell, Destine Shirley, Lane Atwell, Blake Atwell, Cole Atwell and Connor Atwell and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bobby Payne and Cole Atwell; grandson, Johnny Payne; sister, Ruby Muha; sisters-in-law, Betty Morgan, Viola McWilliams and Mary Scott; and brother-in-law, Jim Clements.

Pallbearers will be Blake Atwell, Lane Atwell, Kenny Bradford, Logen Cummins and Johnny Payne.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
