Mr. Jimmy Darrell Tartt, 56, of Holcomb, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis. He was born February 3, 1970 in Charleston. Darrell spent most of his working life as a carpenter and electrician, a vocation that he mastered and was very well-respected in. An avid outdoorsman, Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed racing. Darrell was a member of the Turkey Foot Fork Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Bro. Dustin Mauldin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery at Oxberry. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service Friday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Deann Tartt; mother, Louise Ford(John) of Holcomb; daughters, Amber Tartt and Zoe Seymore, both of Holcomb; sons, Cody Tartt(Grace), Tristan Seymore and Cash Seymore; sister, Teresa Dickey(Ronald) of Tupelo; and two granddaughters, Callie Mae Tartt and Kaislee Paige Tartt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Dale Tartt and a brother, Tracy Tartt.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jacob Crouch, Austin Lance, Kaleb Morris, TJ Schiele, Randall Tartt and Morgan Whitten. His racing buddies Troy Campbell, Don Crouch, Tony Crouch, Hank Davis, Randy Hoop, Johnny Wayne Lindley and Eric Walters.
