Mrs. Debbie Thorpe Breland, 72, of Grenada, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.  She was born November 8, 1950 in Grenada to Jesse and Bobby Fay Lance Thorpe.  Debbie worked for many years as the receptionist in Dr. Drew Townes' dental office, 20/20 Eyeworks, and Dr. David Braswell's Dental office.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada with Rev. Tim McCaffrey and Rev. Chuck Provine officiating.  Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Breland; two daughters, Michele Herbert and Terri Morgan (Jeff) both of Grenada; three grandchildren, Cham Herbert (Lacy) of Hernando, MS, Chase Herbert and Cullen Morgan of Grenada, and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Madilyn Herbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Danny Ray Thorpe and Terry Thorpe and her two childhood best friends, Nancy Dempsey and Margaret McCluskey.
