Debbie DuBard Thomas, 58, of Grenada Died Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Jackson. She was born July 27, 1959 in Greenwood, MS. to William Landon and Jean Minyard DuBard. She was a Library Assistant at Grenada Middle School, a member of the First Baptist Church, Past President of Junior Auxiliary, member of the Grenada Garden Club and a former member of the Grenada Pilot Club. Debbie was a loving wife and mother and was always involved in her children's activities. She was honored in 2009 as the Grenada School District's Parent of the Year. Her infectious smile lit up the room and her devotion and loyalty to her friends will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Debbie's culinary abilities and love of cooking was showered on friends often.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church – Grenada with Dr. John Boler and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Jefferson Community of Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Thomas of Grenada; two daughters, Katie Thomas Hood and her husband, Jeremy of Grenada and Hannah Michelle Thomas of Washington, DC; her parents; W.L. and Jean Minyard DuBard of Jefferson; one sister, Jennifer Liddell and her husband, Tim of Jefferson; David DuBard and his wife, Stephanie and their children, Tori and John Landon, all of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Mattie Bell Minyard and J.T., Sr. and Ruby DuBard.
Pallbearers will be Tate Gordon, Bobby Hickman, Jeremy Hood, Michael Hood, Terry Lane, Curtis Sapp, Larry Vance and Joey Ward.
