Deborah Johnson

Ms. Deborah Joy Johnson, 69, of Grenada, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026 at her residence. She was born December 21, 1956 in Winona to Frank and Agnes Jauwice Woods Johnson. Deborah worked for a number of years as an Operator for South Central Bell then later for McKesson Pharmaceuticals. She was an animal lover and always enjoyed listening to good music. She attended Celebration Baptist Church.

Memorial service plans are private.

Survivors include her sisters, Edna Cole(Reuben) of Grenada and Frankie Tartt of Oakland; brothers, Ben Simmons of Batesville, Thomas Simmons(Shirley) of Grenada and Eddie Johnson of Grenada; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shelby Pigg, Phyllis Durham and Nancy Carroll and a brother, Jerry Simmons.
