Mr. Lenny Delayne Stamper, 20, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 24, 2002 in West Monroe, LA to Lenny and Melissa Stamper. Delayne was a 2021 Honors Graduate of Grenada High School. A very skilled musician, Delayne was a proud member of the drum line in the Grenada High School Marching Band. A video game enthusiast, Delayne also enjoyed playing pool at every opportunity. In his spare time, Delayne enjoyed playing with his dog, Remington, and attending Ole Miss Football games with his girlfriend. Delayne will be missed for many years to come and will be remembered for his kind heart and loving personality.
A time of remembrance will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2023 at The Pentecostals of Grenada. A brief time of reflection will be observed at 4:00 PM with Rev. Damon Tipton officiating. All friends and family are welcome to come and join in a time of sharing stories and happy memories of Delayne's very treasured life.
Additionally, there will be a lantern release at 5:30 PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Grenada High School Marching Band Practice Field.
Survivors include his parents, Lenny and Melissa Stamper of Grenada; grandparents, Billy and Barbara Brown of Batesburg, SC, Jacque and Justin Jones of Monroe, LA and Charlotte and Charlie Simmons of Drury, MO; aunts and uncles, Stephanie and Mark Woods of Jacksonville, FL and Meghan and Thomas Smith of Batesburg, SC; special cousins, Bailey Croshaw and Ayden Owens; best friends, Garrett and Justin Arendson of West Monroe, LA and his girlfriend, Kierin Alberg of Grenada.
