Mrs. Delores "Dee" Marter Cardwell, 95, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 8, 2020 at the Alva Parker Cemetery East of Duck Hill with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating.

Delores attended the Southside Church of Christ in Grenada.  Prior to returning to Grenada from Bristol, VA, where she lived for many years, she worked in business management as an executive secretary and administrative assistant.  She was active in church work and was an office holder in several clubs and organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cardwell; parents, Lynn and Lallie Hood Marter; and two brothers, Paul Marter and Earl Marter.

Survivors include one brother, Charles Marter of Gore Springs; three nieces, Penny Hoglund, Pam Payne and Debbie Porter; three nephews, Keith Marter, Jeff Marter and Kenny O'Neal; sister-in-law, Frankie Marter of Grenada; great-nieces and nephews, Rachel Sturdivant, Brady Marter, Lorrin Newman, Lindsay Pecou and Max Baxter and a great-great-nephew, Eli Newman.
