Michael Derwin Ruth, 45, of Grenada, died March 31, 2016 at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born June 16, 1970 in Spokane, WA to Albert Grover Ruth and Bonnie Costilow Ruth. Derwin loved to praise and worship God and would frequently intercede for the salvation of all those he loved. He was always making everyone around him so happy with his jokes. He loved to laugh. He loved music, pit bulldogs and to be a "giver". Derwin often thanked God for the times he was permitted to enjoy his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2016 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Rodney Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Deloris Ruth; son Eric Reid Vickers of Gainesville, FL; daughter Chasity Marie Busby of Tillatoba, MS; Parents Albert Grover Ruth and Bonnie Costilow Ruth of Grenada; two brothers Albert Dennis Ruth and Danny Ruth of Grenada; sister Debrah Waldo of Grenada and one grandchild, Kerstin Vickers.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Darrin Ruth.
Pallbearers will be Steve Ables, J.D. Costilow, Josh Costilow, William Ellison, Jeremy Smith and Mutt Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Ruth and Nick Ruth.
