Obituary

Sherry Dianne Harrison-Bell, known as Dianne, passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1949, to Delores Reedy Pickle and Norris O. Reedy and was one of four children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David Keith Reedy; and her husband, Charles Dan Bell.

Dianne is survived by her sons, Richard Brian Harrison (Monica) and Michael Alan Harrison (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Cody Nicholas Harrison, Katlyn Elizabeth Nelson, and Addison Storey Parker; and her great-grandchildren, Zaydie Leigh Harrison, and Richard Brayden Nelson. She is also survived by her sisters, Rita Sue Lyles and Ellen Marie Jackson, along with extended family members and friends.

Dianne spent many years working as a nurse, a role in which she provided care and support to countless individuals. She was later appointed by the Governor of Mississippi to serve on the State Board of Nursing, where she remained active until her retirement.

She was a woman of faith, and was known for her direct and outspoken nature, as well as her independence and determination. She maintained strong friendships and was often remembered for her candid perspective and sense of humor.

Dianne lived a life marked by resilience and conviction. She will be remembered by those who knew her and by the contributions she made throughout her career and community.
