Mrs. Donna Ruth Ackman, 63, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.  She was born April 18, 1959 in Clarksdale to Fred Lawrence and Betty Selby Ruth.  Donna earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas.  She and her family owned and operated the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in Grenada where she was blessed to work alongside her parents, husband and children.  Donna attended Christ Community Church in Grenada and enjoyed reading in her spare time.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. John Goldwater officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lambert Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the service Thursday all at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jay Ackman of Grenada; two daughters, Anna Lauren Ackman and Selby Ackman Turner(Cole) both of Grenada; father, Mr. Fred L. "Pat" Ruth of Grenada; brother, Al Ruth(Amy) of Rogers, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Selby Ruth; sister, Jan Foote and brother, Larry Ruth.
