Mrs. Donna Kay Livingston Smith, 49, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 11, 1969 in Cleveland. Donna was a kind and generous person who passed away too young. She was a strong person, and this shone through during her battle. Donna liked to live life to the fullest. She loved to spend time with "her boys" who she would tell anyone was her greatest accomplishment. She especially loved when she could have them all under the same roof whether it be for a family gathering, or just so they could enjoy watching their favorite shows. Her grandchildren were her world, and she loved to show pictures to anyone who would look at them with her. Donna thoroughly enjoyed her career as a nurse, which she retired from after twenty years. Donna was a very friendly person and was always happy to make new friends, which anyone would know because she has such a vast number of friends. She loved to listen to music, it didn't matter what genre or who sang it, if it had a good beat you can bet Donna was singing and dancing to it, especially with her grandchildren. Donna was a very outgoing person, who will be missed dearly by everyone.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Barry Worrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday evening and one hour prior to the service Monday all at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include four sons, Roger Turner(Mallory) of Eupora, Matt Hodges(Tara) of Grenada, Garrett Turner(Summer) of Grenada and Cole Turner(Selby) of Grenada; mother and step-father, Betty and Steve Lott of Grenada; one brother, Ronnie Livingston(Beverly) of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Skyler Turner, Karson Turner, Jayden Hodges, Paisley Turner and another grandchild on the way, Avery Hodges; and one nephew, Rob Livingston.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Livingston, Jr., and her husband, Carl Smith, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Matt Hodges, Tyler Thornton, Ryan Trusty, Cole Turner, Garrett Turner, Roger Turner, Devin Williams and Jared Woods.
