Doris Jean Blackwelder, 82, of Duck Hill, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1933 in Big Creek to Dick and Ina Kilgore Bailey. She was a homemaker.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Blackwelder of Gore Springs and Keith Blackwelder (Jana) of Hernando; one sister, Betty Bradford of Calhoun City; one brother, Richard Bailey of Southaven; one granddaughter, Ashley Blackwelder; and two great-grandsons, Colby and Cameron Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Ray Blackwelder and two brothers, Max and Rex Bailey.
