Mrs. Doris Hamilton Moss, 95, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Home in Brandon. She was born August 18, 1922 in Iuka to Oscar and Oza Bayless Hamilton. She had worked for many years as the Bookkeeper for Moss Brothers Construction and was an active member of the Grenada Exchange Club, along with her husband, Earl. Doris was also a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada where she enjoyed teaching and playing piano for the children.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. John Boler and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time Monday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail Turner (Charles) of Brandon; son, Don Moss (Eleanor) of Hazel Green, AL; four grandchildren, Brad Turner, Scott Turner, Jennifer Turner and David Gray and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Thomas Moss; son, Mike Evans; and six brothers, Albert, Dan, Jack, Ben, James and Raymond Hamilton.
Pallbearers will be Filo Coats, Brooks Moss, Kenny Moss, John Sigman, Brad Turner and Scott Turner.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation or The Gideons, P.O. Box 324, Brandon, MS 39043.
