Mrs. Dorothy Ann Christopher Garrard, 92, of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.  She was born September 6, 1931 in Quitman to Elwyn Otto and Elma May Brooks Christopher.  Dottie lived a life most only dream of. Having been born in Mississippi and grew up in Arkansas, she earned a bachelor's degree from Hendrix College in Theater Arts. She was a train hostess traveling the mid-west and this is where she met her husband, Warren. Warren & Dottie married on October 3, 1954 and Honeymooned on Sea lsland, GA at The Cloister, where they were able to return on October 3, 2014 for their 60th Wedding Anniversary.  Together they traveled the world several times over. Dottie loved her church, singing in the choir, garden club and entertaining.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the Garrard Family Plot in the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Grenada with Rev. Dr. Clif Christopher officiating.

Survivors include two nieces, Julie Brooks Christopher of Keswick, VA and Mary Garrard Christopher Gladding of Fleming Island, FL and a nephew, James Clifton Christopher of Maumelle, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Garrard and a brother, James Elwyn Christopher.
