Mrs. Dorothy Lynn Hayden Hayward, 79, of Holcomb, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. Dorothy was born April 6, 1940 in Holcomb to Dotson Kendall and Mary Gary Hayden. Dorothy was a member of the Holcomb United Methodist Church. She had worked at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Greenwood and was instrumental in the formation of special needs programs across the state. Dorothy also worked as the Dietitian at Grenada Lake Medical Center for 17 years. She also had worked in the family farm supply business and culminated her career with her flower business near her home, "Crazy Lady's Flower House".

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Rick Shepherd and Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating. Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday evening and one hour prior to the service Wednesday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include three sons, Clayton Douglas Hayward(Catherine) of Nashville, Robert Hayden "Bob" Hayward of Holcomb and Marcus Leroy Hayward(Celina) of Holcomb; one sister, Mary Ethel Muns(Roger) of Brandon; nine grandchildren, Holly Hughes, Dusty Hayward, Alexa Hayward, Jeremy Hayward, Anna Hayden Hayward, Kristen Winter, Macie McNatt, Jessica Haggard and Chad Hoback; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Hayward; two sons, Gary Dotson Hayward and Howard Kendall Hayward and a sister, Judy Hayden Mims.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wayne Bennett, Ronnie Hamilton, Dusty Hayward, Jeremy Hayward, Steve Higginbotham, Rusty Mims, Eddie Muns, John Terry and Greg Winters.
