Mrs. Dorothy Gray Sheffield, 79, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her residence.  She was born March 1, 1943 in Grenada to Robert Lawrence and Frances Thomas Gray.  Dot started her working career at Pennaco Hosiery and later moved to the banking industry.  She worked for a number of years at Sunburst Bank and ultimately retired from BancorpSouth.  She was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and reading.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.  A graveside service with Rev. Tim McCaffrey officiating will immediately follow visitation at the Grenada Memorial Garden.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Duke, Sr.(Diann), Glen Duke(Amanda) and John Sheffield, all of Grenada; five grandchildren, Sharon Nowell, Melissa Mitchell, Robert Duke, Jr., Michele McCarley and Payton Duke; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Sheffield; and a brother, Willie "Sonny" Gray.
