Mr. Edgar Bryant “E.B.” Vance, 89, of Grenada, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. He was born April 6, 1937 in Carroll County to Ernest Adrin Vance and Alida May Vance. E.B. honorably served our country as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and enjoyed a career that spanned over 38 years at Randall Textron in Grenada. A man deeply committed to his faith, E.B. was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and had previously been a member and deacon at Calvary Baptist Church as well as Duck Hill Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird hunting and especially looked forward to duck season each year.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Bro. Phillip Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ledar Vance and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Smith, Betty Smith, Sissie Felker and Sybil Heath; and brothers, Jack Vance, W.E. Vance, Glenn Vance and Billy Vance.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Hunter Brown, Kenny Brown, Mike Bush, Todd Hood, Blake Owens and Dennie Spence.

Special thanks is also extended to nieces, Cindy Harris Brown(Kenny) and Sandra Minga(Larry); and nephew, Keith Spence(Barbara) for the love and care extended to E.B., especially in his last days.
