Mr. Edwin Shaw, 88, of Coffeeville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at his daughter's residence in Jackson. He was born September 30, 1926 in Lambert to Clyde Edwin and Estelle Walton Shaw. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Coffeeville Church of Christ. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2013 at the Coffeeville Church of Christ with Bro. Don Roberson and Rev. James Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Yalobusha County. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Wednesday until service time at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Letitia Shaw Thompson (Craig) and Leslie Henry Martin, both of Jackson; two sons, Steven Edwin Shaw of Coffeeville and Wayne Stark of Grenada; two brothers, Eugene Shaw and Malcolm Shaw all of Coffeeville; one sister, Mildred Respess of Lambert; seven grandchildren, Meg Martin, Angel Thompson, Jonathan Stark, Brittany Stark, Austin Simpson, Cameron Simpson and Jordan Simpson; one great-grandchild, Jasper Alexander Ray; two step-children, Patrick Simpson of Ashland and Joan Kuykendall of Thaxton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Mary Armstrong Shaw and Gloria Diane Shaw; son, Anthony Armstrong Shaw; granddaughter, Mary Pauline Shaw; three brothers, Jerry, Gillespie and Wesley Shaw and one sister, Judy Shaw Green.
