Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Kendall Chaney Vance, 89, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born June 17, 1929 in Tallahatchie County to Johnny and Vinnie Kendall. She was retired after working for many years at Pennaco Hosiery and was a member of the Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in the Stonefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the church.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Harrell(Jerry), Bea Woods and Kay Wolf, all of Grenada; one son, Carl Chaney(Susan) of Tupelo; two sisters, Margaret Moss of Cascilla and Rivers Franklin of Grenada; two brothers, Oddie Daniel Kendall and Doyle Kendall, both of Cascilla; 10 grandchildren, Shonda Hardin, Brad Williamson, Dani Poe, Michael Woods, Gina Ross, Valarie Tyner, Bart Williamson, Katie Crosby, John Douglas Chaney and Danny Lee; and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Marion Chaney and Carl Vance; daughter, Betty Sue Harrell; two grandsons, Derek Beard and Robert Lee Woods; and two sisters, Essie Allbritton and Dessie Bledsoe.
