Mrs. Ellen Iona Williamson Austin, 81, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at her residence.  She was born February 27, 1940 in Carroll County to John Silas and Lillie Belle Corley Williamson.  Ellen retired after working many years at the Mississippi Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.  She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada and was involved in UMW.  Ellen was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Rehabilitation Services Secretaries Association and loved spending time outdoors.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Grenada with Rev. Tom Potter and Rev. Daniel Herring officiating.  Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight A. Austin, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Silas Andrew Williamson and James Allen Williamson.
