Mrs. Elsa Marie Pyron Ayers, 79, of the Jefferson Community of Carroll County, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center–Grenada. She was born May 4, 1947, in Grenada to Jim Allen Pyron and Hattie Pearl Peeples Pyron.

Elsa devoted nearly 40 years to her career at Sealed Air in Grenada, following nearly 15 years at Rebel Freight. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Elsa took pride in looking her best and enjoyed keeping up with the latest fashions. She loved shopping and traveling, and in recent years, she found joy in staying connected with friends through Facebook.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 31, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Bud Vance officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Kim Ayers; grandson, Joshua McNatt; sister, Mary Lynn Todd of Pineville, LA; sisters-in-law, Sammie Allen and Sandra Wilbourn; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Ayers; son, Sam Allen Ayers; sister, Allene Mitchell and a brother, Jimmy Carl Pyron.
