Mr. Ernest Ray Willis, 75, of Oakland, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at his residence.  He was born September 17, 1945 in Las Cruces, NM to Otto and Della Mae Walker Willis.  Ernest had spent many years working in the oil fields as a tool pusher.  Following his time on the oil field, he owned and operated his own transport company.

Memorial service plans are private.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Willis of Texas and Krystal Greer of Grenada; two sons, Shawn Willis of Oakland and Brandon Willis of Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers, Alton Willis of Lubbock, TX, Dean Willis and Darryl Willis, both of Lovington, NM; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Verilyn S. Willis.
