Mrs. Mary Ethel Hardwick Windham, 84, of Southaven, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, TN.  She was born March 12, 1938 in Big Creek to Garrit Van Buren and Mary Kathryn Koonce Hardwick.  Ethel was a wonderful homemaker and always strived to make her house a home.  She was a member of Enid Baptist Church for many years and later moved her membership to Carriage Hills Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.  Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Hope(Randy) of Billings, MT and Brenda Hammer(John) of Collierville, TN; son, Greg Windham(Margi) of Hernando; brother, George Willis Hardwick of San Antonio, TX; two half-sisters, Vickie Geraci and Billie Ferrell; eight grandchildren, Shane Hope(Crissy) of Aiken, SC, Mandi Hope of Billings, MT, Gwendy Roland(Casey) of Nesbit, Raleah Bailey of Mooreville, Seth Billings(Paige) of Hernando, Madison Bryant(Carter) of Hernando, Garrin Windham(Kennedy) of Hernando and Mason Windham of Hernando; nine great-grandchildren, Carter Hope, Delaney Hope, Wade Hope, Barrett Bailey, Vera Adams, Reese Roland, Remi Roland, Rowdy Roland and Marleigh Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Windham; brother, Milton James Hardwick; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Windham.

Seth Billings, Carter Bryant, Carter Hope, Shane Hope, Casey Roland, Garrin Windham and Jim Windham will honor Ethel by serving as pallbearers and carry her to rest in the Red Hill Cemetery.
