Mrs. Ethylene Buchanan Privett, 85, of Grenada, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born August 25, 1930 in Itawamba County to Louis and Hessie Umpress Buchanan. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada, a retired employee of Kimberly Clark in Memphis and enjoyed traveling.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3, 2016 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill South Cemetery in Memphis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two nieces, Brenda Vaughn (Jerol) of Grenada and Debbie Murrah (Danny) of New Albany; one nephew, Tim Buchanan (Reena) of Thaxton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Johnnie Pittman and Fred Privett; three sisters, Opaline Watson, Wilma Whitworth and Barbara Russell; and two brothers, Johnny Buchanan and Mike Russell.
