Mrs. Etoile Starnes Tallant Barker, 99, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grenada. She was born December 9, 1916 in Calhoun County to Doan and Velma Peden Starnes. She retired from the Batesville Hosiery Mill and was a Baptist.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2015 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Damon Tipton officiating. Interment will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM Thursday until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Tallant and Judge Jimmy Tallant of Grenada; three grandchildren, Sandra Tallant Stowers, Carlotta Nicole Tallant Morgan and Stephanie Leeann Dykes; and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Devoe Tallant and Granville Barker; and two sons, Thomas Wayne Tallant and Steven Earl Tallant.
