Mr. Eugene "Rooster" Sims, 76, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at his residence.  He was born March 13, 1943 in Kountze, TX to Thomas and Nora Grace Garcee Sims.  He was a retired crane operator.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 PM until service time Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Malone Sims; five daughters, Elizabeth Collier(Len) of Seabrook, TX, Tracy Baxter of Wadsworth, OH, Jackie Summers of Coffeeville, Cherre Sims(Derek Sims) of Oakland, and Kelli Calder(Jerry Martin) of Grenada; three sons, Walter Felscher of Coffeeville, Mike Hennessee(Annie) of Dayton, TX and Jerre Wayne Strother of Wadsworth, OH; 23 grandchildren, Megan Stegall, Mason Teel, Josh Knight, Jessica Knight, Jason Knight, Jennifer Knight, Jerre Lee Strother, Tori Strother, Thomas Collier, Tera Collier, Cheney Collier, Robert Baxter, Andrew Baxter, Hayley Baxter, James Hollis Summers, Samantha Sims, Rebecca Simmons, Nicholas Simmons, Ashley Calder, Alex Calder, Chad Martin, Randy Calder and Harlie Calder; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Hollis Sims; nine brothers, one sister and a son-in-law, Bobby Summers.
