Margie Faye Burdine, 79, of Grenada, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, in Sardis, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada, MS.  Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Darrell Frazier, nephew of Ms. Burdine, will be officiating.   Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada.

Faye was born in Grenada, MS, to Frank and Kathleen Mitchell, Sr.  on June 1, 1942.   She was married to W.G. "Dub" Burdine.   She worked in the hardware department for Sears in Memphis for most of her life.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Dub Burdine, one son Frank Bland Walkup, III, one grandson Frank Bland Walkup, IV, two brothers, Bill Ashmore and Frank Benford Mitchell, Jr. and one sister, Betty Huffman.

Faye is survived by her brothers, Tommy (Charlene) Mitchell of Lambert, Kenneth (Suzette) Ashmore of Grenada, and Robert Ashmore of Monterey, California, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
