Faye Collins, 72, the wife of Mayor Billy F. Collins, passed away Sunday evening, May 10, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family in Grenada, MS .

Faye leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Billy F. Collins; 4 daughters, Christy Carpenter (Lynn), Tracy Davis (Jeff), Candy Wilbourn ( Sean) and Kerry Waugh ( Joey); 3 granddaughters, Courtney McKee (Christopher), Lexie Draper and Anna Lancaster (Parker); 9 grandsons , Collins Davis, Seth Davis, Jake Draper, Matthew Carpenter, Austin Wilbourn , Sean David Wilbourn , Braden Waugh, Bryson Waugh and Gary Davis; a sister, Paula Ferguson; and her best friend s , Pat Windham and Peggy Andrews . She was proceeded in death by her mother, Dorothy Withers Abel; her step-father, Walter Abel, Jr.; her father, Doyle Faye Ferguson ; and a sister, Dianne Mah aney .

Faye was a devout Christian and member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Grenada. She loved her precious dog, Bandit, the holidays, decorating , baking, reading , and the Lord.   She wa s known for her quiet nature, kindness, unconditional love for everyone, selfless ness , but most of all for the love and dedication to her husband, 4 girls and all of her grands. While her death leaves an emptiness in so many hearts, the family is at peace in knowing that she has seen the face of Jesus, is free from all illness and suffering, and has joined her loved ones who have gone before her.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 13, at 11:00 at the Duck Hill Cemetery.  Friends and family are welcome to attend. Bro. Brent Barker and Bro. John Goldwater will be officiating.  Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
