Mr. Forest Gene Fariss, Sr., 78, of Coffeeville, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Memphis. He was born October 10, 1940 in Water Valley. Mr. Fariss was retired from Weyerhaeuser in Bruce where he had worked for over 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a special touch when it came to gardening. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather and will be sorely missed by those closest to him.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Yalobusha County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the service Thursday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Fariss Woirhaye(Mahlon) of Spanish Fort, AL; one son, Forest Gene Fariss, Jr. of Coffeeville; and two grandchildren, Summer Stevens and Kaleb Woirhaye.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Ellen Fariss.

Pallbearers will be Robert Calder, Jacob French, Michael French, Shannon Harris, Nathan Howell, and Scotty McKell.
