Mrs. Frances Manley Hill, known universally and affectionately as Mama Hill, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home in Holcomb. Mama Hill was born August 13, 1928 in Sheffield, AL to Thomas Larkin and Myrtle Dotson Manley. She was the cornerstone of her family and will be remembered for her kind, sweet spirit and many delicious meals she prepared for friends and family alike. Mama Hill was a devoted member of Holcomb Baptist Church and had spent 54 years of her life providing child care in her home in Holcomb. Her life was a testament to her faith in Jesus Christ and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Holcomb Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating. Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada and one hour prior to the service Monday at Holcomb Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean Parker(Harris), Lynda McCalop(Donald), and Carol Holland(Ed), all of Holcomb; one son, Billy Hill of Duck Hill; eight grandchildren, Amy Vance, Chuck Parker, Donna Brown, Lisa Holland, Eddie Holland, Shane Hardin, Leigh Ann Melton, and Kristy Pena; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Duane Hardin; and a special niece, Cecile Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.T. Hill, Jr.; daughter, Deborah Hardin; two sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Calop Brown, Joey Brown, Shane Hardin, Eddie Holland, Ryan Jennings and Chuck Parker.
