Mr. Frank Peter Liberto, 77, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi in Oxford.  Frank was born March 23, 1947 in Grenada to Anthony D. & Donie Marascalco Liberto.  He was a graduate of John Rundle High School and earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology and Chemistry, from the University of Mississippi.  Frank worked for a number of years as the Director of the Respiratory Therapy department at the Grenada County Hospital.  Later, he enjoyed his time in the classroom as a science teacher at Southaven High School.  Frank was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada and a devout Catholic.  Frank knew the importance of giving back to his community and served in numerous ways through the years including his time of service as a member and past-president of the Board of the Grenada County school system.  Frank was an avid traveler and loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2024 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada.  Interment will follow in the Liberto family plot at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Family and friends will gather for visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his three daughters, Resie Gerken(Ryan) of Knoxville, TN, Gina Liberto(Thomas Auten) of Signal Mountain, TN and Sara Liberto of Palm Desert, CA; three sisters, Carrie Gibert(Stanley) of Knoxville, TN, Diane Davis Brown(Robert) of Coronado, CA and Christine Liberto of Santa Rosa, CA; five brothers, Dr. Vincent Liberto(Connie) of Jackson, Michael Liberto(Barbara) of Grenada, Dr. John Liberto of Biloxi, Christopher Liberto(Deanna) of Medina, TN and Raymond Liberto(Myra) of Grenada; four grandchildren, Hampton Gerken, Campbell Gerken, Harrison Auten and Finn Auten; a host of nieces and nephews, and his special guardian angel, Lou Golding of Grenada.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Paul Marascalco, Louie Marascalco, Keith Liberto, Paul Liberto, Hampton Gerken and Hayden Beck. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Marascalco, David Daigneault, Jimmy Brown, Harrison Auten, Finn Auten and Adam Liberto.
