Mr. Fred Lawrence "Pat" Ruth, 94, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at his residence.  He was born January 16, 1931 in Lambert to Albert Monroe and Pauline Brannon Ruth.  Mr. Ruth honorably served our country in the Army Air Corps, now known as the United States Air Force, where he earned the rank of Sergeant.  He was a Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee in Mississippi for over 57 years, a feat he was quite proud of.  He enjoyed pheasant hunting in South Dakota, constructing model airplanes, traveling and was always ready to watch a good Western on TV.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Danny Williams officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Ruth Family Plot in the Lambert Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include a son, Al Ruth(Amy) of Rogers, AR; sisters, Dottie Hawkins of Marks, Betty Lou Beam of Rena Lara, Linda Peeples of Charleston and Pam Monks of Waxhaw, NC; six grandchildren, Anna Lauren Ackman, Selby Ackman Turner, Patrick Allen Foote, Jackson Sterling Ruth, Reese and Riley Smith and one great-grandchild, Emmett Allen Turner.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Selby Ruth; daughters, Jan Ruth Foote and Donna Ruth Ackman and a son, Fred L. "Larry" Ruth, Jr.

Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church – Grenada.

Bobby Biddy, Tripp Hawkins, Tommy Mitchell, Jackson Ruth and Cole Turner will honor Pat by serving as pallbearers.
