Gayle Todd, 68, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Desoto in Southaven. He was born February 26, 1947 in Grenada to Ab and Clyde Sims Todd. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and was employed at Windham Mobile Homes. Gayle was an accomplished musician having been a member of the Sugar Blues Band in the 1960s during which time they earned a Top 20 spot.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Choctaw County. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday evening and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Bowie Todd; two daughters, Tracey Gayle Todd Hodges and her husband, Randy; and Foxey Todd, all of Grenada; four grandchildren, Laura Kathryn Penn, Knoxie Penn, Mallie Penn and Dylan Todd; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaden Holman, Kyler Penn, Kaleb Adams and Kinsley Penn; two sisters, Juanita Black of Texas and Peggy Andrie of Florida; and three brothers, Bill Todd of Ohio, James Todd of Virginia and Jackie Todd of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Todd.
Pallbearers will be Butch Johnson, Jimmy Jones, Mike Lovelace, Buzzy Revell, Randy Sweet and Jerry Williams.
