Mr. Sammie Gene Pollan, 75, of Tillatoba, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at his residence.  He was born December 23, 1947 in Tangipahoa, LA to Sammie Lee and Mildred May Pollan.  Gene was a skilled welder and spent many seasons of his life working at Heatcraft in Grenada.  He was a member of Hardy Baptist Church and a Mason.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.  More than anything, he loved the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. James Melton officiating.  Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden.  Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy T. Pollan; children, Teresa Coleman(Johnny) of Marion, AR, Donna Prestage(Greg) of Hughes, AR, Donna Pollan of Calhoun City, Cindy Winders of Hughes, AR and Terry Floyd(Phil) of Duck Hill; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sammie Lee Pollan and Mildred May Pollan Brown; first wife, Margaret Pollan; brother, J.L. "Lightning" Pollan; daughter, Sherrie Floyd and a granddaughter, Brittany Suber.

Pallbearers will be Gary Barkley, Randy Barkley, Russell Barkley, Justin Floyd, Will Turner and Chappell Waldo.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Coleman, Clovis Tilghman, H.A. Tilghman, Tyler Wortham and his great-grandsons.
