Mr. George D. Breedlove, Sr., 65, of Grenada, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1951 in Moulton, Alabama to Jessie Coleman and Mattie Banks Breedlove. George formerly owned and operated Central Electric Motor Sales and Service and Breedlove Electric. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and also served as a Captain of the Grenada Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara Vold Breedlove; one daughter, Melody Miller and her husband, Scottie of Grenada; one son, George Breedlove, Jr. and his wife, Wendy of Grenada; six grandchildren, Krissy Gibson and her husband, Buck, Meghan Welch and her husband, Bailey, Katey McNutt and her husband, Josh, Allie Miller, Brianna Barton and Garrett Miller; two great-grandchildren, Madi Yeager and Skylar Gibson; and one sister, Peggy Conklin of El Segundo, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mattie Moody and Rebecca Ann Breedlove; and two brothers, Gerald Weaver and Paul Breedlove.
