Mr. George Rose, 67, of Duck Hill passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born August 31, 1956 in Grenada County to Huntley and Hattie Blakely Rose. He formerly worked for Binswanger and Luvata, and loved cutting grass.

Funeral services will be Friday June 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Duck Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife; Diana Harrison Rose, sister; Linda Respess(Ronnie) of Gore Springs, brothers, Huntley Rose of Winona and Bobby Rose of Duck Hill; stepdaughter, Alyssa Greene of Grenada, stepson Nolan Greene of Itta Bena and one step grandchild, Jordyn Greene along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Rose; one sister, Betty Rose and one brother, Charles Rose.

Pallbearers will be Nolan Greene, Michael Jackson, Fred Johnston, T.J. Russell, Mike Taylor and Steve Ware.

Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
