Mr. George Marion Shute, 77, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  He was born March 14, 1943 in Lexington to Marion Kenneth and Maxine Ellison Shute.  He was a retired farmer and salesman and had also worked as a Supervisor at the Mississippi Beef Plant in Oakland.  George served in the Mississippi National Guard and served as an Elder at the Southside Church of Christ.

A private graveside service will be held at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery at Blackhawk with Dr. Joey Gafford and Rev. James Melton officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Faye Knox Shute; one daughter, Suzanne Smith (Randy) of Grenada; four grandchildren, Christopher O'Brien, Corey Self Shute, Will Mothershed and Haleigh Kennon; and seven great-grandchildren, Quinton Kennon, Anastasia Lofton, Teya Feinauer, Anora Feinauer, Ashlyn Mothershed, Liam Mothershed and Griffin Mothershed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Allison Shute.
