Geraldine Ann Brignac Hammons, 73, of Gore Springs, Ms went to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 15, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at the Gore Springs Baptist Church on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM.

Gerri Hammons was born in Houma, La to Faye and Woodrow Brignac on October 3, 1948. She went to school in Yazoo City, Ms. She married David Hammons on September 1, 1967, and raised a family in Grenada, Ms. Gerri was very involved in her  community and church and will be remembered for her hobbies, notably, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She served many years teaching GAs and Sunday School, and sharing her time and talents with her friends at the Gore Springs Community Club and Quilting Club.

Gerri is survived by her husband David Hammons, children, Will Hammons, daughter in law, Kathy Hammons, and Lori Hammons Oxley, grandchildren, Kelsey Hammons, Ethan Oxley, Emily Hammons, and Sarah Beth Hammons, and sister, Linda Burton.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gore Springs Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the health care team who provided compassionate comfort and care throughout her journey.
