Mr. Horace Glen "Sidewinder" Melton, 60, of Coffeeville, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his residence.  He was born June 22, 1961 in Memphis to Freddie and Mary Lee Crocker Melton.  Glen was a truck driver for Fly Timber for many years traveling many miles hauling logs and developing friendships with many people where his travels took him.  An avid outdoorsman, if Glen wasn't working, he loved to spend time hunting, fishing or working on his truck.  He attended Gatewood Church of God.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Michael Haas and Rev. Johnny Halderman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery near Coffeeville.  Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Ferguson Melton; one daughter, Alainia Nicole Melton of Coffeeville; son, Sam Melton and his wife, Shelby of Grenada; two sisters, Mary Parker and Betty Kirk of Water Valley; one brother, James Melton of Florida and a granddaughter, Charli Grace Melton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Cobern.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Aldridge, Glenn Burney, David Camp, Donnie Haney, Drew Kirk, Paxton Mullen, Patrick Parker, Terry Parker and Quay Peacock.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert "Boss" Crocker and Steve Kastner.
