Mr. Johnny Greg Gray, 77, of Grenada, passed away on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born April 4, 1949, in Grenada to Rev. John E. Gray, Jr. and Willo Dene Grantham Gray.

Greg honorably served his country in the United States Army, with assignments in Turkey and Japan before receiving his discharge from Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Following his military service, he began a dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.

Greg was content wherever life found him, but he especially enjoyed spending time watching sports on television, with Mississippi State athletics always holding a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his quiet nature, his faithful service to his country and community, and the simple joy he found in life’s everyday moments.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Gray; daughter, Laura Gray Garrett(Thomas) of Grenada; two sons, Randy Gray and Derek Gray, both of Las Vegas, NV; and four grandchildren, Justin Bloodworth of Gallatin, TN, Devin Bloodworth of Grenada, Katelyn Bloodworth of Grenada and Camdon Gray of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and a brother, Don Gray.
