Mr. Johnny Hart Chamblee, 75, of Duck Hill, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Grenada Living Center from Dementia and Respiratory Failure.  He was born January 22, 1944 in Duck Hill to James Douglas and Hannah Sue Hightower Chamblee.  He was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ.  He worked for Heatcraft in the sample shop.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved working on his farm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Bro. Don Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Moore Abston Chamblee; daughter, Donna Hemphill(Jeff) of Decatur; son, Jeff Chamblee(Missy) of Grenada; step-son, Jason Abston; ten grandchildren, Calli Boggan(Matthew), Spencer Hemphill(Katie), Nikki Roberts(Rob), Mallory Chamblee, Tyler Holley(Amber), Cody Chamblee, Emily Holley, Jacob Hemphill, Logan Hemphill and Matthew Hemphill; three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Nina Gail Chamblee and one brother, Jimmy Dane Chamblee.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Boggan, Cody Chamblee, C.J. Cox, Tyler Holley, Steven Hugley and Keith McGee. Honorary pallbearers will be Tate Gordon, Dale Hood, Ricky Koonce, Gary Miller, Greg Mitchell, Mike Sykes and Gary Windham.

Memorial may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Red Hill cemetery Fund.
