Harvey B. Caldwell III, of Carrollton, MS, passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 78.

Harvey was born on August 28, 1943, in Jackson, TN, to Harvey and Mary Lou Caldwell. After graduating high school in Vaiden, MS, he proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service he completed his Associates Degree at Hinds Community College, Raymond, MS. He worked as a Contract Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Harvey was a proud passionate member of the Catholic faith. He could always be found in the kitchen at the church. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Knight, Past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree, Former District Deputy, 20 year Degree Team member and proud member of Knights of Columbus Council 10443.

Those who know Harvey best will miss his recipe sharing, poker playing, and colloquialisms "You know what I am trying to say".

Harvey is survived by his brother David Caldwell of Flowood, MS. He has two daughters Julie Caldwell and Beth Capezio both of New Jersey. His son Harvey "Rusty" B. Caldwell IV and his daughter-in-law Penelope Caldwell of Bradley Beach, New Jersey. One niece Kim and two nephews Neely and David. Five grandchildren Mary, Sarah, Emily, Laura, and Teagan. Two grand-dogs Ryan and Eva. Many close friends who he considered family.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Neely D. Caldwell.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 10443, St. Peter's Catholic Church of Grenada, MS.

A memorial mass will be held for Harvey on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada.
