Mrs. Helen V. Clanton, 83, of Holcomb, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her residence.  She was born January 29, 1937 in Philadelphia, MS to James Washington and India Anna Hamilton Worrell.  Mrs. Clanton retired after working over 30 years at Pennaco Hosiery.  She was a wonderful cook and prepared many delicious meals through the years for her family and friends.  Helen also enjoyed working in her flower beds and shopping.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2020 at the Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb with Rev. James McElroy officiating.

Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Griffin(Paul);  one son, Roger Clanton(Lisa); five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Clanton and nine siblings.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bailey, Seth Butler, Ryan Clanton, Hunter Jackson, Cliff Parks and Mark Ward.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Horton, Myron Wilson and Ronnie Worsham.
