IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen
Tingle
December 6, 1923 – February 2, 2024
Mrs. Helen Davis Tingle, 100, of Grenada, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born December 6, 1923 in Indianola to Henry Alious and Rosa Lee Tanksley Davis. Truly the definition of "The Greatest Generation", Helen worked as an airplane mechanic during World War II. Helen retired as a telephone operator with AT&T where she enjoyed a long, successful career. She was also a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was blessed to remain active up until her last days. Fishing, cooking and reading were among her favorite hobbies. Working puzzles, playing scrabble and dominoes were among the many activities she used to keep her mind sharp. In her words, "never be negative, love people, keep your sense of humor and always keep your lips painted."
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at McKibben and Guinn.
