Mr. Henry Edward Davis, 85, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1931 in Indianola to Alious and Rosa Tanksley Davis. He was a retired electrician and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. Mr. Davis also served in the Marines during the Korean War and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Clarence Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sue Davis; two daughters, Hollie Eaton (Larry) and Judy Davis, both of Grenada; two sons, Clay Davis and Hank Davis(Pam), both of Grenada; two sisters, Helen Tingle and Melba Dees, both of Grenada; one brother, Paul Davis of Grenada; four grandchildren, Lee Eaton, Sam Eaton, Katie Robinson and Will Perry; and five great-grandchildren, Ella Eaton, Grace Eaton, Vivian Eaton, Jack Henry Robinson and Ainslee Perry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Larry Eaton, Jr., Sam Eaton, Trent Little, Will Perry, Nic Robinson, Robert Townes, Dale Waller and W.C. Willis.
Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
