Mr. Rhren Hollis Payne, 79, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his son's residence in Batesville.  He was born July 30, 1941 in Tupelo to Rhren Thomas and Lois Turner Payne.  Mr. Payne had spent most of his life working as a carpenter and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Smith Cemetery at Rosebloom with Rev. Kevin Crawford officiating.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Payne(Tammy) of Batesville and Larry Payne(Terra) of Grenada; two sisters, Martha Wallace and Brenda Patterson of Byhalia; one brother, Johnny Payne of Hattiesburg and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Wray Gray Payne and a son, Jimmy Dale Payne.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Abels, Sam Abels, Roland Haynes, Joe Jones, Wade Lindsey and Cody Moore.
