Mr. W.C. "Houston" Melton, 75, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, AL. He was born February 14, 1944 in Houston to William and Ida Winters Melton. Houston had worked for many years at Randall Textron and later in life, owned and operated Airport Grocery in Grenada. He was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church in Grenada and had also shared his talent by singing gospel music in local nursing homes for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Chuck Provine and Rev. James Edwards officiating. Private burial will be in the Duck Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Melton; two daughters, Bonnie Williams(Donny) of Grenada and Amie Miller of Spanish Fort, AL; four sons, Daniel Melton(Janet) of Grenada; Hayes Melton of Grenada; Jeremy Harrell of Houston and David Harrell of Grenada; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Aleta Melton and his siblings.

Pallbearers will be David Harrell, Jeremy Harrell, Daniel Melton, Hayes Melton, David Miller and Donny Williams.
