Mr. Hugh Alvis Carroll, Jr., 49, of Holcomb, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his residence.  He was born June 25, 1975 in Greenwood to Hugh Alvis, Sr. and Beulah Arve Weldon Carroll.  Hugh had worked at GE Aerospace in Batesville since 2011 as a Maintenance Supervisor.  Hugh loved all animals and had also developed a keen interest in various types of fish.  He particularly enjoyed taking care of his multiple salt-water aquariums in his home.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. Joey Faulk officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include three daughters, Hayley Moon(C.W.) of Kilmichael, Desiree Watkins(Nick) of Holcomb and Chloe Crouch(Alex) of Winona; two brothers, Terry Russell(Jennifer) of Lucedale and Rodger Russell(Jackie) of Rosebloom; seven grandchildren, Jensie, Josie and Martha Watkins, Jamison and Sam Moon, Oliver Grace Crouch and Gavin Ash as well as his significant other, Teresa Wright.

Hugh is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike and Robert Dale Carroll.

Peyton Allbritton, Alex Crouch, Ray McClurg, CW Moon, Brandon Russell, Nick Watkins and Randy Williams will honor Hugh by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the Oddfellows Cemetery.
